Privacy Policy

In short

• I only collect personal information when you choose to send it, for example through the discovery call form.
• I use it only to reply to you. I never sell it, and I never add you to a mailing list without asking first: the newsletter has its own sign-up and confirmation.
• Google Analytics helps me see which pages are useful. Where the law requires it, it stays off until you say yes, and you can switch it off at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
• This site shows no ads.

The discovery call form

When you request a free call, you send your name, email address, business name (optional), the type and size of your business, when you want to start, your rough budget, who makes the decision, what you'd like AI to help with, and a short description.

I use these answers only to reply to you, to prepare for our call, and to understand which kinds of businesses need help, so I can plan what to build next. They are delivered by email to my business mailbox, which is hosted by Zoho in Canada.

While online sending is being set up, the form instead prepares an email that you send yourself, using Gmail, Outlook.com, your own email app, or copy and paste. In that case your email provider's own privacy policy also applies to that email.

Once online sending is switched on, your answers are sent to my mailbox by Zoho ZeptoMail, and a human check from Cloudflare Turnstile helps stop spam. Cloudflare processes some technical information about your browser to do that.

Email is never completely secure, so please don't send passwords, banking details or other sensitive information through the form.

The contact form

When you send a message, you share your name, email address, organisation (optional), the topic and your message. I use them only to reply. Depending on the topic, your message is delivered to [email protected] or [email protected], both in my business mailbox hosted by Zoho in Canada, using the same Zoho sending service and Cloudflare Turnstile human check as the discovery call form.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, I store your email address, your first name (if you give it) and proof of your consent: the date and time, the page you signed up on, and which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to. You then confirm by clicking a link in an email (double opt-in); until you do, you won't receive the newsletter.

The newsletter is sent with Kit (kit.com), which stores this information in the United States. Kit may record whether newsletters are opened and which links are clicked, so I can see what's useful. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link; once you unsubscribe, you won't be emailed again. You can also ask me to delete your details at any time.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and features help people (for example, whether a call request or message was sent, and its topic). It sets cookies and sends usage data to Google; it never receives your name, email address or form answers.

If you visit from Quebec, the European Union or European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or India, or if your location can't be determined, Google Analytics loads only after you choose "Accept". If you choose "No thanks", nothing from Google loads. Everywhere else it is on by default. Either way, you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

To make this choice, your approximate location (country and province or state) is worked out from your connection by Cloudflare, which hosts this site. It is not stored. Advertising features and ad personalisation in Google Analytics are switched off.

Saved on your device only

Your analytics choice is saved in your own browser so you aren't asked on every visit. It is never sent to me.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, including YouTube, social media and the tools I use. Some tool links may be affiliate links: if you sign up through them, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and that company may use cookies to record the referral. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.

How long I keep information

Call requests and emails are kept only as long as needed to reply, to work with you if we go ahead, and to meet my business record-keeping obligations. You can ask me to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal information I hold about you, or ask questions about how it is used, by emailing [email protected]. I'll reply personally.

Changes to this policy

If this site starts collecting something new, this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
